Acid stains
Acid stains are chemically reactive stains, as opposed to the paint-like stains. These stains cause a permanent color change in the concrete, transforming it into a unique and rich palette of colors. What causes this marbled effect is that the cement is unevenly distributed while the concrete is being finished. Many application techniques can be used,
including spraying, brooming, swirling, sponging, ragging and mixing colors. All give fantastic, yet different results. All are guaranteed to give you a unique floor that will never be seen at anyone else's house or place of business. Coverage is ~400 sf/gallon per coat or ~200 sf/gallon for 2 coats. Exact coverage is determined by the porosity of your concrete, weather conditions, and application technique.

Wax
For a durable and easy-to-care-for floor, add a few coats of
Perfect 10 wax. It can be used on your stained and sealed floor, terrazzo, and tile floors. Coverage is
1500 sf/gallon, applied in thin coats with a synthetic haired mop available from Home Depot or Lowes. Always apply your wax with a clean, new mop for best results. Recommended application is 3 thin coats. Buffing the final coat is not required, but will harden the coat a little more.
